Exterior
EMIRA, meaning "commander" or "leader", does just that. EMIRA represents a quantum leap forward for the Lotus brand. The instantly recognizable brand signatures and core values have been combined with more practicality, comfort, functionality and technology. Familiarity in the contemporary design aesthetic elevates the aerodynamic efficiency of the Lotus EMIRA. It is the only model in its class to create passive downforce that's precisely balanced between the front and rear axles at all speeds, perfectly tuned to the weight distribution and suspension geometry of the car. Additionally the EMIRA is built on a new lightweight bonded aluminum chassis with two suspension settings: Tour and Sport.

Innovations
Manufacturing of the Lotus EMIRA will take place at Lotus' famous home in Hethel, UK, following more than $137million of new investment in the company's facilities. Drivers have the option of the familiar 3.5L supercharged Toyota V6 that is so loved by drivers of the Exige and Evora. The other option is the new-to-Lotus AMG unit that is a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder 'i4' that delivers low emissions and linear performance. These performance numbers do not stand alone; comfort for daily driver and passenger is built into the EMIRA.

Interior
The EMIRA has a purely sporty feel that matches the exterior. The interior is spacious and design simplicity offers an ultra luxurious driving experience. The clean dashboard includes a 10.25-inch touch-screen with integrated navigation, KEF Uni-Q premium audio system, and additional 12.3-inch TFT driver's display behind the steering wheel. Roomy electric seats allow for maximum comfort. The boot of the EMIRA has ample space and can fit a set of golf clubs, as well as, additional storage is located behind the seats.
